Congratulations to Nawei and Ruth for their QBI Bold and Basic Award

The UCSF Quantitative Biosciences Institute, in collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry, and the Department of Radiology, launched a 900K RFA aimed to more effectively connect the basic and clinical research programs at UCSF through two funding mechanisms, BOLD & BASIC GRANTS and FELLOWSHIPS.

Among 2019’s grant winners were the Willsey Lab’s Nawei Sun and the Krogan Lab’s Ruth Huttenhain, who were awarded the grant in order to help answer the question, “Can we leverage newly discovered risk genes for Tourette disorder(TD) alongside spatially resolved, multiplexed imaging to identify molecular and cellular phenotypes for TD?”
